Mayan Calendar

So I know that the talk of the Mayan Calendar is really popular right now, but I feel that it's very important and the more I research and study it, the more accurate I find it to be. I am posting a lecture by Ian Xel Lungold who, sadly, died in 2005. Please sit and watch the whole seminar when you have time, and for more info, then track down Mayan Majix. He is very kind hearted, patient and makes this so easy to understand. Of course, he recommends, as I do, that you do more in depth research on your own. Here's the seminar from Whitehorse in 2004, and I apologize for the foreign captioning.

2012-Queztlcoatl

In Toward 2012, the first episode in a series of short animated films entitled "Postmodern Times," director Joao Amorim of Curious Pictures presents new ideas about global consciousness and techniques for social and ecological transformation. Toward 2012 is based on concepts from the best-selling book, 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl (Tarcher/Penguin) and is narrated by author Daniel Pinchbeck.

Based on my own research, Queztlcoatl is a Christ Figure for the Mayans. There is this idea of reckoning, reconcilliation etc. Also might be good -- if this is of interest to you, to read The Mayan Code by Barbara Hand Clow (even if some things may be inacurate.. so I've been told, it still creates space or demands that we create a space for new concepts.) Anyway.
